FROM WORLD NEWS.COM: EVIL EBENEZER

Evil Ebenezer has been hailed as the best new voice in Canadian rap by Ex claim Magazine. His debut album Call Me Evilwas nominated for Best Hip-Hop/Rap Music Album at the 2005 West Coast Music Awards, and its video single Told You So gar nered a LEO Award for Best Music Video 2006 at the annual BC Film Industry Night. With numerous accolades and a glowing resume including over 250 tour dates in the last two years alone, you’d think that Evil would be elbow-deep in bling, bitches and riches; Right? Wrong. There is more to being a rap per than validation and acclaim, hit singles or sold-out shows. There is a whole world of hidden heart break, lonely nights on the road, hunger pains and inter-personal drama. Worse still, there is the soul-crushing indifference of friends and family. Music can take its toll, especially on rap veterans likeEvil, who has been on his grind for over a decade. Evil describes this experience with honesty and candor on his leak singleTake Me With You from his forthcoming album Evil Eye, slat ed for release in 2010. The storyline follows the protagonist leaving his small town in hopes of a better lot, only to find a string of disappointing experiences that make him question his mission. The video for the single will pay tribute to Ebenezers small town up bringing in Fraser Valley BC. Fittingly, Evil’smulti-talented best friend and long-time col laborator Stu Ray both produced the track and directed the music video. Ray has been work ing alongside Evil since they met in eighth grade.
