The Lytics are a progressive hip-hop/urban pop group from Winnipeg, Canada who are blowing up north of the border and are making their way into the hearts of US listeners. About the Video:
“Last Bit (Lovely Words)” is an ode to breakups and moving past them. The combination of fresh rap swagger and soul singing on the hook creates a classic vibe that relates the honest emotion of the song. The video, directed by Carl Thiessen, is a narrative that follows a dude who wakes up after a party with a message on his arm, and follows his progress in remembering what it means. The Lytics weave a story about heartbreak that stays lighthearted and positive, and despite the eventual sadness, the track remains uplifting.
